Industry using efficient desalination in Aruba.

As an island located in the Caribbean, Aruba is a famous holiday destination. The country offers world-class scenery, a diverse natural environment and great hospitality. However, water resources are scarce and traditional desalination is expensive in Aruba, something that has huge consequences for the country’s industries. Furthermore, conventional desalination is dirty. As it depends on fossil fuels it does not only harm the local environment, but also contributes to climate change. Nevertheless, due to the island’s limited water resources, the need for desalination is ever-present. Water is the base for many indsutrial processes and thus, a requirement for Aruba’s economic development.

Thanks to one of our 3x more efficient desalination system, generating over 90 m³ of fresh water per day, and enabling cost savings of 67%, an industrial user is benefiting from a more sustainable and affordable water solution. That way, the company is not only saving 180 tons of CO2 per year, contributing its part to a cleaner Aruba, but also reducing variable operational costs.

‘’Access to sufficient water is essential for any business. Recently, we started working together with an industrial water user in Aruba. They require a significant quantity of water on a daily basis. To realize this our skid-built efficient desalination units have been implemented in their existing infrastructure.’’
