Luxury resort in Curaçao is benefiting from the abundance of the sea.
Desalination is nothing new to coastal resorts on Curaçao. More than 45% of the island’s drinking water is supplied by desalination plants. Unfortunately, most of the time, traditional desalination is being utilized, leading to unnecessarily high energy and water bills.
Nevertheless, there are cost-effective and sustainable solutions: our Efficient Water Maker series. By utilizing energy recovery technology, energy savings of up to 70% can be achieved on any scale between 5-400 m³s per day. A resort on Curaçao is now using our technology to source its fresh water in a cost-effective way. The containerized system is producing almost 90.000 liters per day, saving the resort on their water expenses and avoiding the emission of 180 tons of CO2 per year.
