Scale your water, not your costs: Phased Desalination.

Our mission has always been to turn water scarcity into abundance using only the power of the sun. As we kick off this next chapter, we want to share how we’re making it easier for our partners to grow sustainably and celebrate the massive ripples of impact we’ve made together.

Grow as You Go: Phased Expansion.

We understand that many projects, especially resort developments and municipal transitions, don’t happen overnight. Often, the water demand you have today is only a fraction of what you’ll need in the future.

To support this, our desalination systems are designed with modular scalability. This “phased expansion” approach allows you to:

  • Minimize Initial Capex: Start with a system sized for your current needs.

  • Scale Seamlessly: Add capacity in stages as your project grows.

  • Maintain Efficiency: Our technology remains high-performing each step.
A great example of this phased expansion is Mnemba Island in Tanzania. This island is listed #2 in the top 5 best islands in the world and has undergone several development stages. We are now looking into their third upgrade.

🌍 Our Impact: Last Year in Numbers.

Every drop counts. Here is a snapshot of what we achieved this past year together with our partners & users:

💧 3.275 Billion Liters: Fresh water created from the sea, enough to fill 1310 Olympic pools.
🌱 16,375 Tons of CO2 Saved: The equivalent of planting 750,000 trees.
📉 70% Cost Reduction: The average drop in water costs for our implemented projects.
🌍 37 Countries: The global footprint of our mission to end water scarcity.

📍 Recent Project Spotlights.

Meanwhile, we are thrilled to announce the successful delivery of several new projects:

Cape Verde: In a region where water is famously scarce, our newest installation is harnessing the Atlantic breeze and sun to provide a reliable, grid-independent water source.

Jamaica: We’ve partnered with local stakeholders to bring chemical-free desalination to the island, ensuring the hospitality sector can thrive without straining local ecosystems.

Yemen: We’ve managed to provide another solar desalination solution for a community in these challenging & arid environment.

By choosing efficient and chemical-free desalination, these projects aren’t just securing their water future; they’re proving that development and environmental stewardship go hand-in-hand.

Snowy Records.

Utilising the solid form of precipitation consisting of ice crystals, we managed to set a new snowman record of over 3 m (10 ft). Our strategy day, supported by Dunea in Meijendel, was a big success.

How does solar desalination work?

Zoom into the essentials, let’s break it down together. Solar desalination combines the power of the sun with advanced filtration technology to transform seawater into fresh drinking water. .
