Today we celebrate water.

Traditionally held on 22 March since 1993, World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2 billion people living without access to safe water.

To celebrate water and improve access to clean water, we share a remarkable video that shows the astonishing behaviour of water and a short update from our engineers in the field in Madagascar where we are realizing a project to make clean water from the sea and sun for a community.

Water is as fascinating as it gets.

Did you know that:
– the water you drink today has been inside dinosaurs, bacteria & oceans?
– all water on Earth is alien?
– hot water freezes faster than cold, and no one knows why?
– without its rebel behaviour, none of us, nor our world, would exist?

Check out this amazing video on our favourite element.

Weird water. Credits go to the BBC and Alok Jha for this great video.

Realizing clean water in rural Madagascar.

It’s been a long period since Madagascar has closed itself off from the outside world as a result of COVID. In that same period, the country had to endure one of the worst droughts, as well as several tropical cyclones.

Some of our engineers are celebrating World Water Day today in remote Madagascar, building a solar desalination project that will provide 4000 people with clean water from only the sea and sunshine.

This project is powered by the Elemental Water Foundation. If you would like to help improve access to clean water for remote communities, make sure to visit their website.
